The Value of Infographics for Timeline Visualizations

Designing timelines has a long tradition and the resulting infographics were used as a basis to teach historical events. The project presentation will show that the visualization domain profits from historical infographics. In particular, I will outline with two Leipzig projects how infographics serve as basis for interactive visualizations in digtal humanities.
