Ricardo M. Pimenta

Ricardo M. Pimenta is a researcher at the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT) of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications. He is a professor in the Postgraduate Program in Information Science at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

He has a research and productivity scholarship from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the Rio de Janeiro State Research Support Foundation (FAPERJ).  Ricardo also coordinates the Digital Humanities Networking Laboratory at IBICT.

His research tries to understand and investigate from a critical perspective the Digital Humanities in the Brazilian scenario and their interdisciplinary articulations with Information Science.
