Kristin Bührig
Kristin Bührig is a Professor of German Linguistics with an emphasis on German as a foreign and second language at the Institute for German language at the University of Hamburg. Earlier she was a Professor of German Linguistics with a focus on pragmatics and media communication at the University of Duisburg-Essen. From 2011 she has been running the CLARIN-D project, as well as the CLARIAH from 2019. Both projects are funded by BMBF and located at the University of Hamburg. Kristin Bührig’s research interests are located in the area of linguistics include German as a foreign and second language, contrastive linguistics, multilingual communication, translation studies, institutional communication, intercultural communication, and corpus-based pragmatics.
