Janos Borst
Janos Borst has been working as a research assistant at the University of Leipzig in the natural language processing group. After finishing his bachelor's degree in physics at the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, he completed his bachelor's and master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Leipzig. During his master's degree, he studied applications of artificial neural networks for Named Entity Extraction in German text and methods for transferring learned knowledge to other more specific domains. Since 2018 he has been working in the project "Data Mining und Wertschöpfung" where his research interests focus on using machine learning techniques (i. e. neural networks) to extract structured information from natural language text. This will be his second year as a workshop leader at ESU.
