Stefan Jänicke holds a Diploma in Computer Science. Since 2009 he is a PhD student in the Image and Signal Processing at Leipzig University. The visualization of geospatial-temporal data is the main objective of his thesis. One result of his research of the last years is GeoTemCo: a tool for the geospatial-temporal exploration of data for several projects (Europeana, eAQUA, BioVeL, ...), which was developed in cooperation with SUB Göttingen and Fraunhofer IAIS. Furthermore, Stefan Jänicke built a graphical user interface within the DFG project Archaeo18 with SUB Göttingen for the dynamic access to historic manuscripts. Since July 2012 he works on visualizations for eTRACES.
