Doulkaridou, Élisabeth
Elisabeth Doulkaridou is a PhD candidate in art history at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sobonne and a research associate at the Institut national d’histoire de l’art. Her research, under the supervision of Professor Philippe Morel, concerns Roman illuminated manuscripts of the first half of the 16th century. Part of her thesis will be focusing on digital practices and methodological shifts in the domain of illuminated manuscripts.
She has been working on specific matters pertaining to digital practices in the field of art history since 2008. Between 2009 and 2011 she was teaching the course “Management of digital resources” in the department of art history of her university. She has also published several critical analyses in the scientific blog L’Observatoire Critique, edited par Corinne Welger-Barboza. In March 2011 she presented an “ideal” tool for studying illuminated manuscripts online in the frame of the demo-conferences organized by MuTEC of the École Normale Supérieure of Lyon. She has also coordinated the international panel “The image as document in the digital age” which took place in March 2012 at the Institut national d’histoire de l’art.
