Humanities' Communities of Practice and the Methodological Commons
This talk considers notions of community of practice and the methodological commons as they apply to the digital humanities. The Digital Humanities Summer Institute, the Culture & Technology / CLARIN-D European Summer School, DHOxSS, HILT, and other institutes, as well as the remarkable range and variety of THATCamps, workshops and other training events and meetings taking place around the world — taken together these elaborate a number of emerging models of networked activities at local, regional and national level of great significance to the growth of the DH community, and the principles on which it is founded.
