Rafael C. Alvarado
Rafael C. Alvarado, Ph.D., is Associate Director of SHANTI and lecturer in Anthropology at the University of Virgina in the United States. A career digital humnanist, he has divided his time between building software and organizations that support the scholarly use of technology, and teaching about digital technology as a cultural system. A writer and coder, he has published essays on the digital humanities and has written code for several projects, including the Princeton Charrette Project. He has been developing sites in Drupal since 2006 and he is currently lead developer of UVa’s Mandala a project, a distributed and semantically oriented Drupal application designed to develop large scale scholarly collections.
