Susan Schreibman
Susan Schreibman is Professor of Digital Humanities and Director of An Foras Feasa, the Humanities Research Institute, at Maynooth University. Dr Schreibman has published and lectured widely in digital humanities. Her current digital projects include Letters of 1916 and Contested Memories: The Battle of Mount Street Bridge, a 3D simulation of one of the largest battles to take place during the Easter Rising in April 1916. Her publications include the forthcoming A New Companion to Digital Humanities (2015), A Companion to Digital Literary Studies (Blackwell, 2008) and A Companion to Digital Humanities (Blackwell, 2004). She is the founding Editor of the peer-reviewed Journal of the Text Encoding Initiative and is the Irish representative to DARIAH a European infrastructure in Digital Humanities, as well as co-Chair of its Virtual Competency Centre on Education and Research.
