Michael Nashed

Michael Nashed is Electronic Publishing Specialist for research projects at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (Library of Alexandria) in Alexandria, Egypt, since 2011. Prior to his current role, Michael was Digital Lab Supervisor at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina from 2003 to 2011, in which he worked on important projects including, but not limited to, Description De l'Egypte (http://descegy.bibalex.org), The Digital Assets Repository (DAR) (http://dar.bibalex.org), and Million Books (https://archive.org/details/millionbooks).

Michael Nashed received a Master’s in Project Management from the Arab Academy for Science,Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Egypt in 2011. Mr. Nashed is currently a resident in Alexandria, Egypt and has a strong interest in the field of digitization flow and digital humanities.
