
Kathryn Simpson
Kathryn Simpson is a researcher in 19th century literature and colonialism, within the Centre for Literature and Writing at Edinburgh Napier University. Kathryn is the Project Scholar and Outreach Director for Livingstone Online, having previously worked on the David Livingstone Multi-Spectral digital imaging project.
Kathryn’s expertise is in the area of 19th century cultural digital creation and curation; involving imaging, data management, transcription, and XML and TEI textual mark-up. Her research focuses on 19th century European exploration in Africa and India.
