Why Drupal?

Why should digital humanists consider using Drupal? Why not use Omeka, WordPress, or a development framework such as Rails, Hydra, or Django? In this short talk, I will make the case that Drupal occupies an important segment on the spectrum of web application development platforms, and that, beyond its massive user base and development community, it is ideally suited to meeting many of the needs that drive digital humanities projects. Among these are a balance between ease of use and a flexible means of modeling content, and tools for the production and consumption of data within the web of linked open data.
