- exploring artists and curators working with computer software and the internet today.

Part two: Hands on work, you will curate your online digital exhibition from planning to execution to promoting it effectively.

Introduction

• A close look at key concepts and terms: ‘Information age’, ‘net art’,’ digital art curation’, ‘post internet art’, ‘new aesthetic’, ‘post tumblr aesthetic’ 
• How the internet has changed the way we produce and think about art
• Introduction to ‘prosumerism’, its evolution and implications on the Western contemporary society
• Exploring how cultural heritage projects can be collaborative, and or participatory through the use of technology – a look at successful cases
• Social networking platforms challenge the way we express ourselves and explore art, we will be looking at social media and their impacts - Youtube, Facebook and Tumblr
• Exploring contemporary digital artists and projects
• Live studio interviews with artists and practitioners (over Skype)
